Don't Stop Believing
It was either that or "You can DO IT, Bobby Buche" but I just don't think that Rob Schneider is the kind of motivation I need.
So I'm kick starting my FINAL weight-loss attempt - from now on it will be my Healthy Lifestyle. I'm getting serious this time - for real! I've joined 24 Hour Fitness and have been working out consistently. I'm really excited because Mollie has joined with me. In addition to having the FABULOUS Ms. A-Dub-Ya as a workout buddy, Mollie is more motivated than me and is a driving force to get my arse into shape.
I'm holding off on the hard core food tracking. Right now my goal is to eat more fruits and veggies, less high fatty foods (yeah once those banana nugget cookies are gone...), and I'm limiting the carbs. As far as exercise is concerned, I just want to make going to the gym a habit and not a chore. Of course, the fact that I over did it on the 3rd day and am walking like an idiot isn't stopping me - just offering a few laughs to those around me.
Champ is a great motivator - even though I hate it when he says "I'm gonna lose 10lbs this month" and does it. He is very supportive and helpful when it comes to helping me pick my workouts and what to eat before and after. I'm looking forward to going on this journey with him.
So my goal is to lose 100lbs by my 30th birthday - March 18, 2010. I set that goal back in October of 2007 so I had over 2 years. Now...we're looking at 18 months. I know it's a big goal but I'm up for the challenge. Have fun hearing all the ups and downs!

Love ya,
A dub-ya
Congratulations to you and your friend! You can do it...nourish your mind as you nourish your body, this is more a mental challenge than a physical. Your body is designed to do the hard work where your brain would rather take a nap ;-) Have a blast!!!
